At Norris Electric we offer several products and services to fit our customer needs. Services include electricity, WildBlue Satellite Speed Internet and long distance telephone through Power Net Global Communications. Also as a Norris Electric Co-op member, you are entitled to a discount on annual fees for a life saving service in our area - Air Evac Lifeteam. See our services rate page. Our product offerings include energy efficient Compact Fluorescent lamps, which can be obtained at our Newton, IL office location and Briggs & Stratton Home Generator Systems.
Electric
As your rural electric distribution provider, we are by far the largest in the counties of Clark, Crawford, Cumberland, Effingham, Jasper, Lawrence, Richland and Wabash. As a cooperative, everyone desiring electric service must become a member of the cooperative. Membership is free by printing and filling out an application. Norris Electric is offering an exciting new program, the Co-op Connections Card Program. The cards will be mailed in early 2008 and will consist of a wallet card and two key fobs.
Because you are a member of Norris Electric Cooperative, a Touchstone Energy Cooperative, you can now receive discounts on products and services from participating businesses, both in your local area and across the country.
The FREE program is very simple. To receive your discounts, simply show your Co-op Connections card to any participating business displaying a Co-op Connections window sticker.

WildBlue Satellite Speed Internet

Business and Residential Long Distance
Norris Electric Cooperative is offering long distance service through Power Net Global Communications. This long distance service is one of the lowest-cost long distance services available. Per minute charges apply for calling anywhere in the State of Illinois or out of state in the continental United States. In addition you can have your own personal 800 number to receive calls from family members or acquaintances. Incoming calls on your 800 number are billed at the same rates. All rates are the same 24 hours a day - 7 days a week. There are no monthly fees, no minimums, or long-term agreements. Air Evac Lifeteam - Discounted Rates
As a Norris Electric Cooperative member, you are entitled to a discount on the annual fees of a new life saving service to our area. Air Evac Lifeteam was the first air ambulance company in the U.S. to offer a membership program for its service. Members pay a small annual fee, which entitles them to call the Air-Evac Lifeteam during medical emergencies. If Air-Evac Lifeteam transports a member for a life-or-limb threatening illness or injury, the member will not receive a bill for the flight. The annual fee is considered pre-payment of all covered flights-no matter how many times the member flies during that year. Air-Evac Lifeteam can find you when seconds count. With Global Positioning System (GPS) on board every aircraft, they can fly directly to your home day or night. Lifeteam employees fly a mini-emergency room directly to you and transport you to a hospital in lifesaving time. Air-Evac presently covers parts of 14 states. Briggs & Stratton Home Generator Systems
Membership with Norris Electric Cooperative has many benefits, along with access to state-of-the-art products. We offer Briggs & Stratton automatic start standby generator systems ranging from 7,000 up to 20,000 watt capacity .
